Chuckanut Drive
Chuckanut Drive was an alt-country band from Bellingham, Washington formed by singer-songwriter Stephen Ray Leslie. The band was active from 1999 until 2010. The group released four records: “The Juanita Demo,” “Chuckanut Drive," alt-country concept album “The Crooked Mile Home,” and “Fidelity Grange.”
The band was known for its country infused brand of rock and roll, story oriented songwriting, and raucous live shows.
Over the years Chuckanut Drive performed with many influential alt-country/Americana artists of the era including: The Sadies, Split Lip Rayfield, American Aquarium, Bobby Bare Jr., The Meat Purveyors, Jonathan Byrd and Joe Pug.
